In the second stage of the State Government’s office accommodation reforms 80,000sqm of government office space will move from the Perth CBD to suburban centres, including Stirling, Fremantle and Murdoch.

The Property Council estimates that the move equates to around 35,000sqm of backfill space in the Perth CBD because many empty buildings are likely to be demolished or redeveloped.

The Property Council was consulted regarding the implementation of the plan and its likely impact on the CBD office market.
