Grocon completed the Media House project in 2009, building a new office for Fairfax in Melbourne over the rail yards opposite Southern Cross Station. The outstanding number of Victorian finalists proves the state is no doubt above the rest of the nation in contributing innovative developments to the Australian property industry, Victoria Executive Director of the Property Council of Australia Jennifer Cunich says.

"The significant impact Victoria has on the Australian property industry has resoundingly been confirmed with 25 developments and three industry professionals being listed as finalists at the 2012 national property awards," Ms Cunich says.

"It is great to see the continued success of the Victorian property industry and these achievements are to be congratulated at Australia’s most prestigious property awards night."

Head of Rider Levett Bucknall Asia-Pacific region, Mr Mike Kerr, says Victoria continues to set high standards for the rest of Australia to compete with, having such a high number of finalists listed in the nation’s property awards program.

"We are proud to have been associated with the property industry’s unique awards program since its inception in 1982, acknowledging the achievements of the nation’s best developments," Mr Kerr says.
