Interim planning and subdivision fees regulations have come into operation as of 22 July to carry over the previous interim fees for nine months.
A Regulatory Impact Statement and the proposed permanent regulations are currently being prepared for a public consultation scheduled for later this year.
The interim regulations will enable councils to continue to charge fees for the planning and subdivision services they provide, while the process for making permanent regulations is undertaken.
