The Property Council’s Sustainable Development Conference held on 13 June provided attendees with a thought provoking exchange of ideas on the future of sustainability. Now in its fifth iteration, the event brought together leaders and thinkers to discuss the many challenges facing the development sector over the years ahead.
Entitled The Next Green Frontier, the conference provided attendees with a glimpse of the innovative trends coming over the horizon. Discussions ranged from revising design practices in favour of using more sustainable materials for construction, to medium scale district solutions for connecting alternative energy sources to the power network. Establishing new social norms in the post-consumption era were also considered.
