Applications for the Federal Government’s Suburban Jobs program are now open, but the pool of available funds has been more than halved.

Announced as part of the 2011/12 Budget, Suburban Jobs state and local governments to plan and provide for employment hubs to support local jobs. Initially, the program was allocated $100 million over four years. However, this has now been reduced to $45 million over the same timeframe.

Grant applications must be submitted by 2pm AEDT on Friday 17 February 2012.
