The Tasmanians for Reform coalition (TFR) - a group of organisations that have joined together to push for reform of local government - is expected to grow as its campaign for change builds momentum.

The TFR has a broad range of members from various parts of the community, including the:

+ Independent Retirees’ Association

+ Tasmanian Small Business Council

+ Business Association Tasmania

+ Hairdressers Association

+ Tasmanian Council of Social Service

+ Master Builders Tasmania

+ Tasmanian Independent Retailers

+ Shopping Centre Council of Australia

+ Master Plumbers

+ Civil Contractors Federation

+ Tasmanian Chamber of Commerce and Industry

+ Pharmacy Guild

+ Retail Traders Association

+ Chambers of Commerce in Hobart, Launceston, Devonport and Burnie

The TFR is expected to expand to around 25 community and private sector organisations as the case for reform is spelled out to the wider community. This would make the TFR the biggest coalition Tasmania has ever seen.

The Property Council calls on its members and the public to support the TFR, by:
