Partek Construction and Interiors has been rewarded for their commitment to the 'Doorways 2 Construction Program' by being awarded the 2012 Western Futures School and Business Partnership Award for Outstanding Contribution to Education.

This award is based on the Door Way 2 Construction Program through the Western Futures group. The program enables students to gain experience and knowledge in the construction industry along with many other types of industries. Through this, students are able to decide which path they take in future employment.

Partek has been involved in this program for more than three years.

“We are proud to be a part of what we see is a very important area in the sustainability of our industry," Partek's Operations Director Peter Berrington said.

"Partek has employed two contract administrators from St Michaels College and we are looking to take on apprentices in 2013 along with providing work experience for the students. We believe that being involved with St Michaels College and the Catholic education, can give the students a clear direction to their future.”
