The Property Council recently made a submission on EPA Victoria's proposed EREP program. The program will target sites consuming more than 100 terajoules of energy or 120 ML of water per annum.

The Property Council recognises that eco-efficiency provides a way for business to contribute to sustainability, both economically and environmentally and is becoming increasingly important in competitive global markets.

The Property Council's submission to EPA Victoria highlighted our concerns about likely additional costs of the EREP program, in light of the duplication of similar program in which members are already required to participate. The submission was supported by a letter from the Shopping Centre Council of Australia.
