SAVILLS AUSTRALIA
Savills Australia has strengthened its industrial team with the appointment of Trevor Harlow as divisional director. Harlow will be based at the company’s Sydney office.
WT PARTNERSHIP
International property and cost management consultant WT Partnership has promoted Nick Deeks to the role of managing director for Australia.
Meanwhile, Matthew Kritzler and Chris Houghton have been made associates in Sydney; Tim Isaac, Lincoln Ford, Rebecca Manners and Hugh Mackie in Brisbane.
URBIS
Property consultancy firm Urbis has announced the addition of planning consultancy Brannock & Associates to its Brisbane planning team. Three senior staff from Brannock & Associates—John Brannock, Steve Buhmann and Scott Richards—have also moved to Urbis.
Meanwhile, Russell McKinnon has been appointed a director to the Urbis valuation and advisory team. Together with David Blackwell, Russell will be responsible for leading the growth of the Sydney valuation and advisory offer.
COLLIERS INTERNATIONAL
Warwick Turpin has joined Colliers International as director – Retail Leasing, servicing the Sydney CBD and metropolitan markets. He was previously with Jones Lang LaSalle, Mirvac and CBRE.
In Queensland, Tom Warriner has joined the growing Colliers International Rural and Agribusiness team as executive, Rural and Agribusiness Portfolios.
Warriner formerly held cattle station management roles with Consolidated Pastoral Company and a previous position in Deloitte’s Agribusiness team.
Troy Bryant rejoins Colliers International in the position of national director – Development.
The company has also expanded its retail valuation team in NSW: Jeffrey Squire joins as associate director and Lillian Nohra as assistant valuer. The Sydney West Industrial division has announced Samuel Williams as executive and Robert Tappouras as director.
THINC
Management consultancy Thinc has made a trio of senior appointments across the country to bolster its sector expertise.
Paul Byrne has been appointed national director for Infrastructure (based in Brisbane); Cris Johansen as project director in Victoria; and Charles McKenzie as project director in South Australia, focusing on the resource and energy sectors.
FUTURESPACE
Angela Ferguson is the new managing director of architecture and interior design firm futurespace.
Currently the National Association of Women in Construction (NAWIC) Businesswoman of the Year, Ferguson has been a director and owner of futurespace since October 2009 when she merged her own successful practice (Ferguson Design Studio) with that of futurespace.
AUSTRALIAN UNITY
Australian Unity Investments (AUI) has made changes to its property funds management team following the retirement of head of property, Martin Hession, late last year.
Peter Lambden has been appointed to the role of head of property and asset management, while Mark Lumby, previously head of office and industrial property funds, will now be head of property funds—retail.
LEND LEASE
David Saxelby has been appointed chief executive officer of Construction and Infrastructure, Australia at Lend Lease, replacing Mark Menhinnitt, who will continue to assist the group on new business opportunities. Saxelby is currently chief operating officer of Construction and Infrastructure, Australia and head of Lend Lease division Abigroup.
KNIGHT FRANK
Knight Frank has recruited Dominic Ong as director, Asian Markets & Commercial Sales, based in Sydney. Ong previously spent five years with CBRE in Auckland and the last two years in Sydney. He is joined by Andy Hu, formerly of Drake Commercial, as executive, Investment Sales and Leasing.
Terry Dohnt has joined Knight Frank’s commercial leasing department as a director, focusing on special projects and leasing in Melbourne and Sydney. Dohnt has been in the industry for more than 25 years and until recently, headed up Grant Samuel Corporate Property in Victoria.
Peter Inglis has been appointed as a rental consultant with the Knight Frank NSW Valuations team, Andrew Kraefft as a leasing executive, commercial sales and leasing, in the Knight Frank Melbourne office, while Peter Phillips has joined the Knight Frank project management and building consultancy team in Melbourne as a senior building consultant.
