The Property Council of Australia and our members have a number of serious and legitimate concems with the draft DCP. These relate to significant public policy issues (e.g. housing affordability, rigorous policy analysis, mandating voluntary schemes); some of which were raised with Council last year but have not been addressed.
We note that similar issues were endorsed at the Central Sydney Planning Committee's 6 December 2007 meeting.
We believe the City should at least acknowledge and understand these concerns and work in partnership with industry to address these concems and develop a more effective policy response.
