In this response to the Government’s East Lake Urban Renewal Planning Study, the Property Council has drawn upon a decade’s worth of advocacy, including many constructive and proactive formal and informal submissions and engagement with the Territory Government and key stakeholders on the shaping of the Australian Capital Territory.
Specifically, the Property Council has engaged with ACTPLA on the proposed development strategy for East Lake initially though attendance at the stakeholder workshop conducted in October 2007, and facilitated by the CSIRO who are working in partnership with the ACT Government to explore opportunities for innovative sustainable urban renewal of East Lake. This was followed by our own internal workshop from which the following resolutions were derived.
This submission represents the first of our written submissions on the East Lake Urban Renewal project, responds to the Planning Study, and formalises our verbal feedback made at the stakeholder workshop.
