The Property Council of Australia applauds the Leader of the Opposition's commitment to reform Australia's outdated withholding tax system.
"Property trusts (LPTs) are an Australian success story," according to Property Council Chief Executive Peter Verwer.
"We are already the world's number two property trust manager, after America. That's because we invented collective investment vehicles, which are owned by all Australians and help generate their retirement wealth. We should be number one."
