Ok, that might be a bit of an exaggeration, but realistically, someone is going to have to pay for the new infrastructure currently required to meet the demands of a growing and spreading population in Melbourne.
The average trip on Eastlink from Springvale Road to Thompsons Rd (Frankston Fwy) currently costs a car $5.57 and at 7am the journey from Frankston to the city will take you well over an hour sitting at just 53kph.
With more infrastructure projects in the pipeline, getting them from policy to reality will be key as will the question, how much is this going to cost?
