The Barangaroo redevelopment project in Sydney has pre commitments of more than 120,000 sqm of office space; with anchor tenants Westpac, KPMG and Lend Lease.
Westpac will take 60,000 sqm of premium office space in the C4 tower. The bank expects to occupy the new building from 2015.
KPMG signed a 14-year lease for more than 34,000 sqm of premium grade office space in the C5 tower. The lease is effective 1 January 2016.
The move will see Westpac’s current nine sites across the Sydney CBD merged to two sites – its existing space at 275 Kent Street and C4 at Barangaroo.
John Hickey, DTZ international director of leasing, says the deals are the largest combined pre-commitment in Australia.
