Federally funded body Low Carbon Australia Ltd has signed an agreement with the City of Sydney to encourage investment in low-carbon technologies by property owners, business and government.
City of Sydney and LCAL will organise seminars and workshops, and develop promotional materials to encourage owners and occupiers to invest in energy-efficiency improvements. They will also collaborate on research, case studies and educational materials.
LCAL has $100 million in initial funding for energy efficiency improvements. It partners with groups such as NAB, Macquarie, Alleasing and Origin to provide financial solutions to cover the start-up costs of efficiency upgrades.
