Welcome to the Transit-Oriented Development Micro Site
Transit-Oriented Development, or TOD, is a means of delivering vibrant, connected communities based around public transit.
While the term TOD may be new to many, the practice of building homes, workplaces and community facilities near to public transport is as old as urban development itself.
This site is a portal to a wealth of information on Transit-Oriented Development (TOD). On this page you will find links to case studies, articles, academic studies, photos and videos demonstrating and discussing the application of TOD concepts in Australia and throughout the world.
The TOD Micro Site is intended to stimulate discussion and debate about TOD - how it is best implemented, which models have worked and which have not, and where it is and is not suitable. It is an evolutionary site that will grow with time and through your contribution.
Stay tuned to this site for more information and news on TODs.
